While there is no “silver bullet” when it comes to coaching assessments, Dr. Annin is certified to administer many that she uses as appropriate. As part of her customized service, Barbara selects just the right tool. Following are some of her favorites.

Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®)

Hands down, the MBTI® is one of the most versatile and robust personality assessments. Developed by Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs, the assessment is an application of Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types. Read more about MBTI here

 

Strong Interest Inventory®

Another assessment is the Strong Interest Inventory®. FIRO-B® (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior)

Originally developed for the military to help understand the composition of teams assigned to submarines who would be in close contact with team members over long periods of time. The FIRO-B® is designed to help individuals, teams and leaders improve performance via insights regarding interpersonal needs and behavior. Read more about the FIRO-B here.

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI®)

Developed by scholars Kenneth Thomas and Ralph Kilmann, the TKI® helps us understand our preferred mode of dealing with conflict. Like it or not, conflict is a part of the modern-day world. Read more about the TKI here.
