Meet Barbara
A results-oriented executive coach, Dr. Annin brings 30 years of business expertise to her client assignments. She has worked extensively with senior executives in a wide range of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, high-tech engineering, financial services, non-profit associations and manufacturing. Her corporate background includes CNA Financial where she was the Vice President of Organizational Development & Communication. In addition, she held numerous management positions with Baxter International.
Dr. Annin received her Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University in Human & Organizational Systems where she also received a Master’s degree. She holds an MBA from DePaul University and a B.S. degree in business from the University of Illinois. The recipient of several industry awards, Dr. Annin is a highly skilled coach, communicator and facilitator. She has a proven track record helping her clients improve their overall leadership effectiveness.
Dr. Annin has designed and implemented numerous workshops and courses on topics such as Emotional Intelligence, Change Management and High Performing Teams. She has served as an adjunct coach at the University of Chicago where she also designed a course on Emotional Intelligence. She is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, FIRO-B, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Indicator, EQ-I , The Leadership Circle Profile and the Enneagram. Dr. Annin has volunteered at organizations such as CareerPlace, a non-profit resource center providing assistance to individuals in career transition and her local school district.
A published author (and a voracious reader–see some favorites here,) Dr. Annin writes extensively on the topics of coaching, leadership, social network theory, and organizational change. Her papers have been published in the Midwest Academy of Management’s Annual Conference, Fielding Graduate University and Training Today magazine.
